CUET UG 2023: NTA records 72% attendance in 12 days over 21.7 lakh candidates scheduled

CUET UG 2023: The CUET UG 2023 began on May 21 and is scheduled to conclude on June 8.

CUET UG 2023: Since May 21, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has conducted the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2023 in 303 cities across 720 cities. In the last 12 days, a total 21,70,353 students were scheduled to appear for the exam. 72 per cent attendance has been recorded till now.

In 3 days— attendance at 75 per cent
In 4 days— attendance at 74 per cent
In 5 days— attendance at 73 per cent
In 6 days— attendance at 72 per cent
In 7 days— attendance at 70 per cent
In 8 days— attendance at 69 per cent
In 9 days— attendance at 65 per cent
In 10 days— attendance at 68 per cent
In 12 days— attendance at 72 per cent

The CUET UG 2023 began on May 21 and is scheduled to conclude on June 8. The exam, which is being conducted for the second time around, has seen a massive increase in the number of candidates registered. Last year around 12.5 lakh students registered for the exam.

This year, many students from the state of Jharkhand and union territory of Jammu and Kashmir were initially allotted centres to neighbouring states due to lack of adequate number of centres within the state. After receiving multiple complaints from the candidates, the NTA decided to push the exam dates in Jammu and Kashmir. The exam that was supposed to begin from May 21 began from May 26.
