Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad is a public autonomous engineering and research institute located in Palakkad, Kerala. It is one of India’s 23 IITs. Proposed in the 2014 Union budget of India, IIT Palakkad was established in 2015 as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.
About the Post
Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad invites online applications for Software Engineer on contract basis for the Institute Automation Cell.
Desirable Qualification
First class B.E. /B. Tech /MSc. Degree or equivalent in Computer Science and Engineering or Information
Technology or equivalent or MCA from a recognized University or reputed institution.
Desirable Experience
At least 2 years of experience with hands-on working experience and strong knowledge in any of the following: MVC framework, Web development framework (like Spring), PHP, Java technologies, J2EE technologies especially JSP, JDBC, HTML5, JSON, Java script frontend framework like jQuery. RDBMSs like PostgreSQL, etc. Software development processes including various life-cycle models.

Pay Scale
Consolidated monthly remuneration for this position will be in the range Rs. 40,000 to 60,000/-. The exact amount will be fixed based on experience and skill-set.
Contract Period

Work Location
IIT Palakkad, but may be deputed to work from other IITs for extended durations from time to time.
Selection Process
Shortlist based on resume, followed by written / practical exam, and interview.
