Course Details

Department of Tourism and Travel, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira is inviting applications for a one-year diploma course in tourism and travel. The course is only for men.

Employment assistance will be given to the eligible candidates.

Objectives for Diploma in Tourism and Travel

To provide the basic and essential knowledge regarding various activities undertaken by the tourism industry and the necessary knowledge and skill to work in the industry.

To impart certain basic skills and aptitudes that will be useful in taking up any activity in Tourism Industry.

To develop the personality so as to become responsible citizen with greater awareness about the Indian society and its culture.

To provide a global view of several multinational tourism business houses and their functions.

To provide knowledge, skill and attitude to set up tourism-related establishments.

Duration of Diploma in Tourism and Travel

The program is for one year. There shall be 120 hours of classroom study approximately along with a field study and 7-10 days of internship.

Class Schedule for Diploma in Tourism and Travel

The theoretical class schedule will be as follows: Every Saturday from 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm. Inaugural Class:
August 5, 2023 at 3:15 pm. Venue: Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur Math, Howrah 711202.

Eligibility for Diploma in Tourism and Travel

Only male candidates who have passed higher secondary or equivalent examinations can join.

Course Fee of Diploma in Tourism and Travel

Students have to pay the total course fee of Rs 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only). During the time of
online admission they will pay the first installment of Rs. 12000/- as Admission Fee and the second
installment of Rs. 8,000/- will be paid on or before December 31, 2023.
