An Online interview of eligible Indian citizens for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a project awarded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) under the scheme of core research grant (CRG), in the Department of Mathematics, IIT Ropar will be held as per the details mentioned below details:

About IIT Ropar

Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar) is a public technical university located in Rupnagar, Punjab, India. It is one of the eight newer Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India under The Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2011 to expand the reach and enhance the quality of technical education in the country.

Project Title

Coarse-grained CFD-DEM-PBM simulations of industrial granulating beds [PI: Dr. Jitendra Kumar, IIT Ropar]

Duration

1 year (extendible on an annual basis up to 2 years or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier).

Eligibility

Essential Qualifications:

• M.Sc. (Mathematics/Computer Science), B.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing/Computer Science or allied discipline (with GATE/NET qualification and minimum CGPA 7 on a 10-point scale or 65% marks) from a recognized institute/university.
• M.Tech. in Engineering (minimum CGPA 7 on a 10-point scale or 65% marks) – preferred branches are Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, and Aerospace from a recognized institute/university.

Desirable Qualifications: Experience in modeling and simulation and coding (C++) is desirable.

Fellowship

• Rs. 31000 per month for the first two years.
• Rs. 35000 per month for the third year.
• Additionally, HRA will be provided as per institute rules if accommodation is not provided.
